Assistants Dashboard and Editor Overview

Quick Overview: Assistants Dashboard & Editor

Your assistants dashboard and editor are where you manage, organize, and fine-tune every AI assistant in your system. Here’s a quick walkthrough to help you get the most out of these powerful tools.

Assistants Dashboard

  • Organize with Folders:
View all assistants, favorites, imported, and archived. Use folders and tabs to quickly find and manage your assistants.

  • Bulk Actions & Shortcuts:
Click the ellipsis next to any assistant to favorite, duplicate, copy the bot ID, or archive it.
Archiving simply moves an assistant out of view—you can restore it anytime from the archive tab.

  • Safe Deletion:
The trash can only archives, not permanently deletes, so nothing is lost by accident.

Editing an Assistant

Click any assistant to open the AI editor, where a full suite of customization tools awaits:

  • Name & ID:
Edit the assistant’s name at the top and note the ID below—it’s essential for things like outbound calls and workflow integrations.

  • Model Selection:
Choose from a range of AI models (e.g., GPT-4o is currently recommended). Switch models as your needs change.

  • Audit & Collab:
Use the audit button to spot missing connections or issues, and the collab session link to share editing access for support or teamwork.

  • Latency Insights:
View response latency for voice and chat. Remember, this is an estimate and can vary based on your settings.

  • Prompt Editor:
Generate, edit, and version control your AI’s main prompt. Track changes and see warnings for any issues (e.g., exceeding character limits).

  • Manual Save:
Although autosave is on, it’s smart to hit save after big edits for peace of mind.

Builder, Labs, and Tools

  • Builder Tab:
Where you edit prompts, connect tools, and set up AI behaviors.

  • Voice Lab, Chat Lab, Knowledge Lab:
Use these for isolated testing of voice, chat, or knowledge—these are not connected to live tools or user data, so results here won’t affect live conversations or bookings.

๐Ÿงช Tip: Labs are ideal for testing how your AI responds to prompts without worrying about external integrations—great for rapid experimentation!

Active Tag, Phone Number, and Voice

You’ll also see controls for the assistant’s active tag (for written channel activation), phone number (for calls), and current voice selection.
Each has deeper settings and features—explore the related articles for in-depth how-to guides.
