Integrating OpenAI and Stripe

Integrations Overview: Connecting OpenAI, Stripe, and API Keys

Integrating your AI builder platform with essential services like OpenAI, Stripe, and API keys ensures smooth automation, transparent billing, and advanced features for your clients. Here’s a quick overview to help you understand and troubleshoot your integration settings.

Connecting OpenAI

OpenAI powers messaging and AI capabilities in your platform.
By connecting your own OpenAI account, messaging costs will be billed directly to you (not to the platform), ensuring you control usage and expenses. For now, the platform may still cover charges, but setting up your connection now prepares you for when the change happens.

💡 Tip: Get ahead of future billing changes—connect your OpenAI account so you’re ready when the platform switches messaging costs over.

Stripe Integration for Rebilling

Stripe is required for billing and rebilling voice minutes to your clients.
You must set up and connect Stripe before any rebilling will work. If you experience issues—even if it shows as connected—look out for any fields that say null null. If you see this, disconnect and reconnect your Stripe integration to reset the connection.

🚨 Troubleshooting:
If rebilling isn’t working but Stripe appears connected, check for null null in your integration details. Disconnect and reconnect to resolve the issue.

For a deeper understanding of rebilling and voice minute margins, see the referenced rebilling documentation.

API Keys & Webhooks

API keys are used for advanced automation via webhooks (like outbound calling or retrieving conversations).
Simply generate and use these keys as needed for each webhook integration. The webhook tab is currently under development, so you may not need to configure anything there just yet.

🛠️ Note: API key management will become more important as new webhook features roll out. Stay tuned for updates.
