Custom Menu Link

Integrating a Custom Menu Link for Easy Sub Account Access

Setting up a custom menu link in your AI builder makes it seamless for users and clients to access sub accounts—no more hunting through menus or complicated navigation. Here’s a quick walkthrough on getting this set up, with tips for troubleshooting and customization.

Step-by-Step: Adding a Custom Menu Link

1. Accessing the Custom Menu Link in Your Dashboard

If you don’t immediately see the custom menu link option in your dashboard:

  • Navigate to your sub accounts.

  • Click into your domain.

  • In your browser’s address bar, replace “accounts” at the end of the URL with “home” and reload the page.
This gets you to the “launchpad,” where the menu link option should appear.

💡 Tip: If the menu link isn’t visible, this quick URL edit often solves the issue.

2. Copying and Configuring the Menu Link

  • Decide if you want automatic client invites enabled. Turning this on allows users to create a sub account with one click—super simple! You can toggle it off for more control if needed.

  • Click to copy the custom menu link.

3. Adding the Menu Link in Your CRM Agency Settings

  • Go to your Go Highlevel agency Settings, then down to Custom Menu Links.

  • Click Create New.

  • Choose an icon (like a robot), enter a name (such as "AI Assistants" or your brand).

  • Paste in the copied URL.

  • Deselect “agency sidebar” if you only want this to appear in sub accounts.

  • Select which sub accounts can see and use the link.

  • Set visibility (often “all” is fine) and enable microphone access for voice features.

  • Click Save.

Once complete, users in those sub accounts will see the new link in their sidebar under the name you chose—giving them instant, easy access!

Pro Tip: You can use your own branding and icon for a more professional client experience.

Troubleshooting

  • If the custom menu link still isn’t visible after the URL workaround, refresh your browser or check permissions in your settings.

  • Make sure the correct sub accounts and visibility options are selected to avoid access issues.

  • For microphone/voice feature issues, double-check permission settings in both the CRM and your AI builder.
